Summary: Inhaled Insulin Study

People with type-1 diabetes are asked to participate in an experimental research study being conducted by Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

• Are male or female at least 18 years of age
• Have had a diagnosis of type-1 diabetes for at least 2 years
• Have been a non-smoker for at least a year

You may not participate in this study if you:

• Have or have had pulmonary disease, including asthma
• Have been diagnosed with pneumonia in the last 3 months
• Are pregnant or intend to become pregnant during the study
• Have participated in another research study within the last 30 days
