Summary: Do you have an Overactive Bladder?

Do you lose urine during sudden physical movement, lifting, coughing or sneezing? Do you have a strong and sudden urge to urinate that sometimes causes you frantically rush to the restroom? You may be experiencing a medical condition called overactive bladder. When you have an overactive bladder, your bladder contracts, sending signals of an urgent need to urinate.

Diablo Clinical Research and Dr. Richard Weinstein are conducting a research study of an investigational medication to relieve the frequency of urination. If you or someone you know has an overactive bladder, you may want to consider clinical trial participation.

You may qualify for the study if you:

  • Are age 40 to 74
  • Have a history of urinary urgency for at least 3 months
  • Have stopped menstruation for at least one year

Qualified participants may receive at on cost:

  • All study-related medications
  • Physical examinations
  • Laboratory tests
