Summary: PHN-Post Herpetic Neuralgia Study

This is a randomized, double-blind, placebo inactive substance controlled two period crossover research study to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication taken by mouth twice daily for post herpetic neuralgia.

The study will last approximately 8 weeks in which there will be 8 visits to our office. Compensation for time and travel to be provided at the end of the trial.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age 18-85
  • Pain lasting 6 months after the healing of the Shingles rash
  • Able to complete study questionnaires and patient diaries
  • Willing to give informed consent.
