Trial Information
Summary: A clinical study involving an experimental drug used in combination with chemotherapy to treat subjects with previously untreated metastatic breast cancer.
Elmhurst Hospital Center is conducting a clinical trial to
determine the clinical benefit of the addition of an experimental
drug to standard chemotherapy regimens for subjects with previously
untreated metastatic breast cancer.
You may participate in this study if you:
- Have locally recurrent or metastatic breast cancer
- Are at least 18 years of age
You may not participate in this study if
you:
- Have had prior chemotherapy for locally recurrent or metastatic
disease.
- Are currently, planning to, or recently participated in an
experimental drug therapy.
- Have had major surgical procedure, open biopsy, or significant
trauma within 28 days of study start.
- Are pregnant or nursing
- Have inadequate organ function
- Have a history of problematic heart or cardiovascular
condition
- Have known brain or other central nervous system
metastases.
