Summary: A Multicenter Study Evaluating the Efficacy and Safety of BOTOX® (Botulinum Toxin Type A) Purified Neurotoxin Complex as Headache Prophylaxis in Migraine Patients with 15 or More Headache Days per 4-Week Period in a 24-Week, Double-Blind, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled, Parallel-Group Phase Followed by a 32-Week Open-label Extension Phase.

Allergan Inc., is conducting a study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of BOTOX® as a study drug, in subjects that suffer from migraine headaches more than 15 or more days a month.

To qualify, you must:

  • Be aged 18 to 65 years old
  • Have been diagnosed with migraine headaches
  • Have 15 or more headache days a month

You will not qualify if you:

  • Are pregnant or nursing
  • Have known allergies to BOTOX®
  • Are currently taking an experimental drug or have within the last 30 days
  • Have certain neurological muscle weakening disorders
  • Are taking or have taken certain medications to prevent headache within 4 weeks prior to your first study visit, or are undergoing certain treatments for your condition
  • Received previous treatment with or were immunized with the study drug or similar types of drugs
