Summary: A clinical study comparing standard treatment for advanced melanoma to an experimental study drug.
Summary:
Pfizer, Inc. is conducting a clinical study to compare overall
survival for subjects with advanced melanoma receiving an
experimental study drug compared to subjects that receive standard
chemotherapy.
Study drug and study procedures will be made available to you at
no cost. Procedures that are performed as part of your routine care
will be billed to you or your insurance provider.
You may participate in this study if you:
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Have advanced melanoma that is not surgically curable
- Have adequate bone marrow, liver, and kidney
function.
You may not participate in this study if
you:
- Have had prior treatment on a clinical trial with the study
drug
- Have any serious uncontrolled medical disorder or infection, or
inflammatory bowel disease
- Have received systemic therapy for your melanoma
- Have a history of brain cancer.
- Have a history of hepatitis due to hepatitis B or C
- Have a history of chronic inflammatory or autoimmune
disease
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
