Trial Information
Summary: PHII-57 NCI#7003: A Phase II Study of Bortezomib (PS-341) for Patients with Advanced Bronchiolo-Alveolar Carcinoma (BAC) or Adenocarcinoma with BAC Features
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have advanced bronchiolo-alveolar carcinoma (BAC) that cannot be cured by surgery. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the possible tumor shrinkage due to use of bortezomib (PS-341) and the survival of patients with advanced BAC treated with bortezomib (PS-341). Another purpose is to explore how tumor size may be connected to the findings of research tests done on blood and tumor tissue specimens. Your treatment will last as long as your tumor is not growing and you are not having any unmanageable side effects. When your treatment is completed, your doctor will continue to follow your condition indefinitely.
