Summary: Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation
Vical Incorporated is currently conducting a phase 2 study to
evaluate the safety, immunogenicity, and clinical benefit of a
study vaccine in controlling CMV recurrent infection in recipients
undergoing hematopoietic cell transplantation, and their respective
donors.
Study drug and study procedures will be made available to you at
no cost.
To qualify, you must:
- Be 18 – 65 years of age
- Be an allele-matched related donor to be considered as a donor
for this study
- Be CMV-seropositive and able to and willing to be followed for
1 year to be a recipient
You will not qualify as a donor if you:
- Are pregnant or breast-feeding
- Have evidence of immunodeficiency
- Have a history of recent immunization, prior CMV therapy, or
administration of an experimental CMV vaccine
You will not qualify as a recipient if you:
- Have an autoimmune disease
- Are a poor risk patient
- Have a certain type of anemia
