Summary: Bipolar Disorder: A Research Study Testing an Investigational Medication for the Treatment of Patients Diagnosed with Bipolar I Disorder with a Major Depressive Episode

You may be eligible to participate in a new clinical research trial of an investigational medication if you

• Have been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder
• Have experienced major depression in the past
• Are now feeling depressed again

• Gain access to a research treatment that may or may not be effective
• Help others in the future by contributing to medical research

• Medical care
• Study medication
• Laboratory work and evaluations

Patient Inclusion Criteria

• Male or female 18-65 years of age
• Diagnosis of Bipolar I Disorder with Major Depressive Episode without Psychotic Features
