Summary: Bipolar Disorder: Research Study Testing the Effectiveness of an Investigational Medication
Official Title: A Multicenter, Randomized,
Parallel-group, Double-blind, Phase III Comparison of the Efficacy
and Safety of Quetiapine fumarate (oral tablets 400 mg to 800 mg
daily in divided doses) to Placebo When Used as Adjunct to Mood
Stabilizers (Lithium or Valproate) in the Maintenance Treatment of
Bipolar I Disorder in Adult Patients - D1447C00126

Do you have difficulty concentrating?
Have you lost interest in activities you used to enjoy?
Has your appetite changed?
Do you have difficulty sleeping or have a decreased need for
sleep?
Are there times when you feel irritable and angry, out of
control?
Do you impulsively buy things?
Are you often creating or ending relationships?
Talk too much?
If so, you may be suffering with Bipolar Disorder. You may be

Patient Inclusion Criteria
- Male or female, at least 18 years old
- A current manic, depressed, or mixed episode by DSM-IV
criteria
