Summary: Ariflo Study for Adults with COPD

Health Sciences Research Center is conducting a research study to evaluate the safety, efficacy and tolerability of Ariflo in patients with COPD (chronic bronchitis or emphysema).

You may participate in this study if you:

  • are 40 years of age or older,
  • have a clinical diagnosis of COPD,
  • are a smoker or ex-smoker,
  • have had at least one worsening of COPD which required oral steroids, antibiotics and/or hospitalization.

You cannot participate in this study if you:

  • have poorly controlled COPD in the two months prior to Visit 1,
  • require supplemental oxygen more than "as needed" use (less than 2 hours per day),
  • have significant gastrointestinal, pancreatic or kidney disease,
  • are unable to withhold the required respiratory medication prior to study visits.

Study Benefits
