Summary: Diabetes in Adolescents and the Very Young

We are seeking a variety of individuals with type 1 diabetes for a study looking at environmental, immunologic, and genetic factors which may contribute to the onset of Type 1 Diabetes.

We are looking for the following individuals:

  • Children under age 6 who have been diagnosed with diabetes within the last two weeks
  • Adolescents ages 10-15 who have been diagnosed with diabetes within the last two weeks
  • Adolescents ages 10-15 who were diagnosed with diabetes at six years of age or younger

This study requires a one-time visit to the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. The study visit includes the completion of questionnaires as well as a small blood draw. We provide eligible participants with free parking and a small gift.
