Summary: Pediatric QVAR Easi-Breathe Study, Ages 5-11 Years
Health Sciences Research Center is conducting a research study
to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of QVAR versus placebo in
mild to moderate asthmatic children between the ages of 5 to 11. In
addition, the Easi-Breathe will be evaluated as a breath-operated
inhaler.
Your child may participate in this study if he or
she:
- Is between 5-11 years of age
- Has a six months history of asthma
- Has not utilized inhaled corticosteroids for 30 days
Your child cannot participate in this study if he or
she:
- Has a history or presence of any non-asthmatic or chronic lung
disease
- Has participated in a research or investigational study 30 days
prior to Visit 1
- Utilizes beta-blockers
- Is unable to comply with required washout period of certain
medications

- All study visits, study medication and related exams are
provided at no cost
