Summary: Study comparing two FDA-approved medications for adults with COPD
Health Sciences Research Center is conducting a research study
to compare the effects of two different drugs on the annual rate of
moderate-to-severe exacerbations in people with COPD.
You may participate in this study of you:
- Are 40 years of age and older
- Have established clinical history of COPD
- Have a history of smoking one pack per day for 10 years or
more
- Have a documented history of at least one COPD exacerbation
within the past year
You cannot participate in this study if
you:
- History of current evidence of an uncontrolled disease
- History of lung resection surgery
- History of drug/alcohol abuse within the past two years
- Have a respiratory disorder other than COPD
Study Benefits:
- You may be compensated for your time and travel
- All study visits, study medication and related exams are
provided at no cost to you
- The information learned from your participation may benefit
