Summary: Study comparing two FDA-approved medications for adults with COPD

Health Sciences Research Center is conducting a research study to compare the effects of two different drugs on the annual rate of moderate-to-severe exacerbations in people with COPD.

You may participate in this study of you:

• Are 40 years of age and older
• Have established clinical history of COPD
• Have a history of smoking one pack per day for 10 years or more
• Have a documented history of at least one COPD exacerbation within the past year

You cannot participate in this study if you:

• History of current evidence of an uncontrolled disease
• History of lung resection surgery
• History of drug/alcohol abuse within the past two years
• Have a respiratory disorder other than COPD

Study Benefits:
