Summary: Mechanism Based Resistance to Aspirin
We are looking for 400 healthy volunteers to participate in our
research study. The purpose of this research is to study why some
people do not respond to the benefits of aspirin therapy, i.e.,
cardioprotection or decreasing the risk of heart attack and/or
stroke.
This study will help determine the reasons why and how this
happens. Moreover, it may offer an alternative therapy for those
people resistant to aspirin.
You must:
- Be between 18 and 55 years of age
- Be within 30% of your ideal body weight
- Be a non-smoking male or non-smoking and non-pregnant
female
- Be in good health as based on medical history and free physical
exams
The study involves:
- 2-8 visits depending on eligibility
- Medical examination and blood work at no cost
- Compensation for your commitment
