Summary: A clinical study involving a study drug to treat female subjects with dyspepsia.
Mount Sinai School of Medicine is seeking female subjects with
dyspepsia to participate in a study to assess the safety and
efficacy of a study drug in treating their condition compared to
placebo.
You may participate in this study if you:
- Are a female with adverse digestive symptoms consistent with
dyspepsia for at least 12 weeks during the previous year
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Are on a stable diet and agree to continue this diet throughout
the study
You may not participate in this study if
you:
- Have had an abnormal upper GI endoscopy.
- Have a history of intestinal obstruction, or symptomatic
gallbladder disease.
- Have severe abdominal pain or recent unexplained weight loss
over the last 3 months.
- Have heartburn on 3 or more days a week.
- Have a current diagnosis of active IBS.
- Have had major abdominal surgery that disrupted normal
gastrointestinal anatomy
- Have a history of chronic diarrhea
