Summary: Provigil for Fatigue
Columbia University's HIV Clinical Research Program
Who is eligible? HIV+ men and women with
persistent fatigue that interferes with daily activities. Certain
medical restrictions apply.
What is Provigil? This medication is approved
by the FDA to treat excessive daytime sleepiness. We are
investigating its use for HIV-related fatigue.
What is involved? This is a 4-week trial of
Provigil. We offer an additional 2 months of Provigil or an
alternate treatment depending on response. Compensation is provided
for monthly assessments.
