Trial Information
Summary: No More UC – A research study for adults with mild to moderate ulcerative colitis currently in remission.
We are seeking participants for a clinical study to test the
safety and effectiveness of encapsulated mesalamine pellets, an
investigational medication, for maintenance of remission of mild to
moderate ulcerative colitis. The study is comparing the
investigational medication to placebo in people who have been
diagnosed with ulcerative colitis that is in remission.
To qualify for the study, you must at least meet the
conditions listed below:
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be in remission from ulcerative colitis for at least
one month but no longer than 12 months.
- You must not have a history of allergy or intolerance
to aspirin, mesalamine or other salicylates.
- You must not have phenylketonuria.
- You must not have received immunosuppressive therapy
within 30 days prior to screening, or oral, IV, or topical rectal
corticosteroids within 30 days prior to screening.
- You must not have had any prior bowel surgery,
excepting appendectomy.
