Trial Information
Summary: Do you have claustrophobia (afraid of closed-in places) and live within commuting distance of New York City? We are doing a study to help people with these fears.
Do being in elevators, tunnels, closets, small rooms without
windows, attics, MRI scans, or sitting in the back seat of a
two-door car or in the middle of a packed movie theatre make you
uncomfortable?
The purpose of our study is to see if medication is helpful in
people with claustrophobia. We are offering free evaluation and
research treatment to eligible individuals.
Eligibility for participation in the study
requires:
- Fear of closed-in places.
- Ages 18-65 years old.
- Willingness to commute to our center on a regular basis for 12
weeks.
- Physically healthy without any major medical
problems.
