Summary: Diabetes Mellitus Type II with Chronic Kidney Disease and Anemia - Investigational study to evaluate an FDA approved injectable medication for patients with Anemia.

SoLUtions of Saint Louis University is conducting a research study evaluating the effectiveness of an investigational Anemia medication in people who have anemia and also suffer from Chronic Kidney Disease and Type 2 Diabetes.

Volunteers meeting the following criteria are needed:

  • At least 18 years old.
  • Have Anemia (low red blood cell count).
  • Have Chronic Kidney Disease (decrease functioning of kidneys).
  • Have Type 2 Diabetes (high blood sugar).

The following will be provided at no cost (no insurance required) to volunteers:

  • Medical evaluations (physical exams).
  • Diagnostic testing (blood and urine tests, ECG's).
  • Study medication for up to 4 years.
  • Compensation for time and travel.
