Trial Information
Summary: Drug Trial evaluating Seroquel versus Placebo for the Treatment of Patients with Bipolar Depression.
This is a 9 week study, 8 weeks receiving study medication,
testing an investigational drug for the treatment of depression in
Bipolar patients. At weekly, no-cost visits participants will have
a 2/3 chance of receiving Seroquel and a 1/3 chance of receiving
placebo. All necessary office visits, medical evaluations, and
study medication will be provided at no cost to qualified
patients.
Inclusion Criteria:
- Men and women between 18 and 65 with Bipolar Disorder.
- Outpatient status.
- Currently depressed.
Exclusion Criteria:
- Patients must not be suicidal.
- Rapid Cyclers.
- Treated with greater than 50mg of Seroquel in the last
year.
- Any unstable medical condition.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding.
