Trial Information
Summary: A Clinical Research Opportunity for People Suffering from Osteoarthritis of the Knee.
Do you or someone you know have knee pain due to Osteoarthritis?
We are currently enrolling men and women with moderate to severe
knee pain in a clinical research study. This study is evaluating an
investigational medication to treat pain from Osteoarthritis.
Participants must be between the ages of 35 and 65 and have been
experiencing moderate to severe knee pain for at least six months.
Study participants will receive exams and study medication or
placebo at no cost and will be compensated for all study visits
completed.
How to Participate:
Below are some criteria that people with Osteoarthritis of the
knee must meet in order to be considered for this study. Please
review and if you feel you would qualify, please call the study
site in your area and talk to one of our patient screening
associates. They will ask you a series of questions about your
health history and your Osteoarthritis. Any information that you
provide will be treated confidentially, and shared only with the
research staff to your permission.
If our patient screening associates determine that you meet the
study criteria and you are interested in participating in this
clinical trial, you will be asked to come into the study site for a
medical examination by one of our study physicians.
You may be eligible to participate in this clinical
trial if you are between the ages of 35 to 65 and:
- Have been diagnosed with Osteoarthritis (OA) of the knee
- Have had this condition for at least 6 months
- Have experienced moderate to severe knee pain on the majority
of days for at least the past three months
- Do not need a cane or a walker
- Will be able to discontinue current OA medication for the
duration of the study
- Must use approved methods of contraception for the duration of
the study
- Have not had arthroscopy or knee surgery during the past six
months
- Are in general good health
Financial Compensation:
In addition to helping advance medical research, participants
may receive compensation starting at $1,150 depending on study
visits completed. Study medication or placebo and study-related
exams are included at no cost. Study compensation varies due to the
time commitment required of participants.
