Trial Information
Summary: SToP UC-Study for the Treatment of Pediatric Ulcerative Colitis.
University of Florida Health Science Center is currently
recruiting subjects to participate in an experimental study for
treating children with ulcerative colitis.
Study drug and procedures (including medical monitoring of your
ulcerative colitis symptoms) will be made available to you at no
cost. Compensation will be provided for your time and efforts in
study participation as well as reimbursement for travel
expenses.
To qualify, you must:
- Be between the ages of 5 and 17 years old.
- Have mild to moderate active ulcerative colitis symptoms
(inflammation of the large intestine and rectum).
You will not qualify if you:
- Have severe ulcerative colitis,
- Are known to be intolerant or allergic to salicylates (e.g,:
Bayer, Bufferin, Ecotrin),
- Have received immunosuppressant drugs (drugs to control
autoimmune diseases) within 90 days before the study.
