Summary: Phase III - Avandia treatment for Alzheimer's disease as a means to reduce inflammation and increase sugar uptake in the brain.

We are conducting a clinical research study for men and women who have mild to moderate Alzheimer’s Disease. This study is evaluating the effectiveness of the investigational use of a marketed drug. If you participate in this research study, you will receive either the study medication or a placebo (inactive drug). All study-related medical exams, laboratory tests, and study medication are provided to qualified participants at no cost.

You may be able to participate if you are:

  • 50 to 85 years of age
  • Suffer from mild to moderate Alzheimer’s Disease
  • Have a permanent caregiver
  • Have not been diagnosed with Diabetes

Other medical criteria will be evaluated by the physician.
