Trial Information
Summary: Stanford University Bipolar Disorders Clinic: Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) in Bipolar Disorder
Some patients with Bipolar Depression experience depressive
symptoms despite their current treatment. A number of studies
suggested that rTMS may have utility in major depression. In this
study, the patients will be treated with rTMS and monitored during
up to 4 weeks. However it is not a standard treatment modality and
it is not known whether this form of treatment can relieve the
symptoms of bipolar depression.
