Summary: Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Study in San Francisco Now Enrolling.
The purpose of this study is to evaluate different dosages of an
investigational medication for treating severe diarrhea in
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
Dean L. Rider will conduct the study. Dr. Rider had been
practicing gastroenterology in San Francisco for over twenty
years.
You may be qualified to participate in the study if
you:
- Are a woman.
- Are at least 18 years old.
- Reside in or around San Francisco.
- Have had severe diarrhea as a predominant symptoms of (IBS)
symptoms for at least six months.
- Have failed conventional therapy.
Study Profile:
- The study will include 8 visits over 19 weeks.
- You will receive all study-related medications, exams and lab
tests at no cost.
- There is no charge for participating in the study.
- You will receive compensation for your time and travel
expenses.
- Office visits will be conducted at 350 Parnassus Avenue in San
Francisco near UCSF Medical Center.
