Trial Information

Summary: Research study for healthy men and for men with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder, age 18-64.

Inpatient, open label (no placebo), 14 days of treatment administered as single and repeat doses. This study will require multiple ECG's and Blood draws. Qualified healthy males may be compensated up to $2,000 and for subjects with schizophrenia, up to $2,580.

Inclusionary Criteria: This study is for subjects with 'schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder' (stable for at least 3 months prior and maximum of 4 schizoaffective patients) and 'healthy male' volunteers age 18-64. All subjects must be smokers, as defined as a subject smoking >= 10 cigarettes/day.

Length of study: 18-25 days

Inpatient: 18-20 days

Total number of outpatient visits: Up to 2 visits
