Summary: Estrogen effects in autoimmunity

The UVA Division of Rheumatology & Immunology seeks female volunteers to donate blood for use in research in the effects of the sex hormones, and their interaction with cell receptors.

Donors must be over 18. Pregnant women and women who are taking hormone replacement are not eligible.

Donors will be asked to donate no more than 100ml (6.5 tablespoons) of blood per donation.

Donors will be compensated for each donation.
