Summary: COG-ADVL0011- A Phase I Study of Temozolomide and CCNU in Pediatric Patients with Newly Diagnosed Incompletely Resected Non-Brainstem High-Grade Gliomas

You have/Your child has been asked to participate in this research study because you have/your child has a brain tumor called a high-grade glioma
The purposes of this study are:

1> To assess the highest doses of Temodar® (a chemotherapy drug) that can be given with lomustine (a chemotherapy drug) to children without causing unmanageable side effects (an unintended result of the drug treatment that is not related to the reason the drug is being used.)
2> To assess the side effects of Temodar® and lomustine when given together to children.
3> To evaluate the possibility of giving radiation therapy following two courses of Temodar® and lomustine.
4> To evaluate any response to treatment (shrinkage of tumor) as seen by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI, an imaging test that uses magnetic waves to look at soft tissues in the body) after two courses of chemotherapy.

Your/your child's participation on this study is expected to last about one year for treatment. After treatment is over, your/your child's medical condition will continue to be followed indefinitely.
