Summary: OMEGA-Oral Megadose Corticosteroid Therapy of Acute Exacerbations in Multiple Sclerosis
A one year research study to compare the treatment differences
between a 5 day regimen of intravenous (into the vein) and oral
steroids in acute attacks of Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This study is
investigational and is not currently approved by the Food and Drug
Administration for treatment of MS attacks.
No Compensation Provided
Patient Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria:
Males and Females 18-50
Acute changes in MS present for at least 24 hours and less than one
week
Must meet entry criteria
Primary progressive MS
Pregnancy
Use of steroids within one month of current attack
