Summary: Male and female volunteers needed for skin study

The Stanford University Department of Dermatology is recruiting adult men and women with stasis dermatitis to participate in a research study to test a medicine for this condition. The study will last six weeks and includes five clinic visits. Eligible patients will be paid $100.00 after the completion of the study visits.

To be eligible you must be:

  • Male or female over the age of 18
  • Diagnosed with mild to moderate stasis dermatitis
  • If female, practice effective birth control
  • Willing to forgo new therapy directed treatment of your legs during the course of the study
  • Willing to participate for six weeks

You must not be/have:

  • Used immunosuppressive medication 3 weeks prior to enrolling in the study or during the study
  • Pregnant or nursing
  • Using steroid therapy within 30 days prior to starting study medication
  • Uncontrolled Diabetes
  • Used a topical steroid on your legs within 2 weeks prior to starting study medication

Interested individuals will be screened by telephone to determine eligibility.
