Summary: Compassionate Treatment of Malignant Neuroendocrine Tumors with Radioactive MIBG
The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the effectiveness of using a radioactive chemical known as metaiodobenzylguanidine (MIBG) to treat patients with malignant pheochromocytoma, which may lower the patient's need for antihypertensive medication and reduce the size of their tumors.
Patient Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria:
- At least 18 years of age - Diagnosed with malignant pheochromocytomas that are inoperable (incurable by surgery) or with metastases (cancer that has spread far from the adrenal gland)
