Summary: GOG-136: Acquisition of human gynecologic specimens and serum to be used in studying the causes, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of cancer

Patients who have had ovarian tumor tissue removed including all malignant epithelial tumors, germ cell, sex cord stromal and other primary ovarian malignancies. Patients who had prophylactic removal of ovaries due to first or second degree family member with cancer. Patients who had primary cervical or uterine corpus tissue removed.

Exclusions:

  • Patients who do not have primary ovarian tumors.
  • Patients with benign cystic tumors of the ovary.
  • More than 6 weeks have elapsed since surgery.
  • Patients with invasive malignant or low malignant potential ovarian epithelial tumors.

**Please respond to this clinical trial only if you live in Savannah or in the surrounding southeast Georgia area and you are willing to commute to Savannah for the time you are on the study.
