Trial Information

Summary: GOG 171. Expression of the MN protein in atypical glandular cells of undetermined significance (Agus or Agcus) as a potential diagnostic biomarker of cervical dysplasia/neoplasia.

Patients with cytologic diagnosis of Agus in whom complete histological examination of cervix (cone or leep biopsy) is planned. Patients have to be 18 years of age or older. Cytologic diagnosis must be within 6 months of planned conization/leep biopsy.

Exclusion:

  • Patients with a history of hysterectomy.
  • Patients with a history of endometrial, vaginal, or cervical cancer or hyperplasia.
  • Patients who have previously or concurrently been treated with radiation to the vagina or cervix or received cytotoxic chemotherapy.
  • Patients who are HIV positive.

**Please respond to this clinical trial only if you live in Savannah or in the surrounding southeast Georgia area and you are willing to commute to Savannah for the time you are on the study.
