Summary: Swimmer's ear (acute otitis externa) is a painful and frustrating experience for many people

Our office is taking part in HEADS UP, a clinical research trial to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of an investigational medication (ear drops) for swimmer's ear.

Eligible participants are adults and children (over the age of 6 months) who may have some of these swimmer's ear symptoms:

• Itching, pain and swelling
• Tenderness
• Redness and discharge

All study-related medication and evaluations are provided at no cost. Additionally, participants will be reimbursed for time and travel.
