Summary: Investigating the Genetics of Pediatric Bipolar Disorder: The MGH1000 Project
The Pediatric Psychopharmacology Department at Massachusetts General Hospital is currently recruiting families of children between the ages of 4 and 18 who are diagnosed with or are suspected of having Bipolar Disorder for a family research study Investigating the Genetics of Pediatric Bipolar Disorder. The members of the families found eligible will be given intelligence tests and psychological interviews. Participation also requires providing a blood sample as well as completing a series of questionnaires. Families will be paid for their participation and will also be provided with the results of their testing upon request. Eligibility Criteria:
Children between the ages of 4 and 18 who are diagnosed with or are suspected of having Bipolar Disorder and their immediate biological relatives (for example parents and siblings).
