Summary: Are you African American suffering from Asthma?
1st Health Centers is conducting and investigational study for African Americans with moderate to severe asthma. Asthma affects 15 million Americans with a 36% greater prevalence in the African American population. This study compares the efficacy and safety of two different daily medications taken daily, in adult and adolescent African American subjects with asthma.
This study lasts 12 weeks and may include up to 6 office visits. Qualified participants will receive financial compensation for time and travel.
Qualifications Include:
- Male or Female, African American, ≥ 12 years of age
- Documented clinical diagnosis of Asthma for at least 6 months
- Currently using inhaled corticosteroids for the treatment of asthma
