Summary: Men and Women ages 16-65 who have had an injury or reconstruction to the anterior cruciate ligament needed for a research study

UVa Health System Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Sports Medicine Division seeks men and women ages 16-65 who have had an injury or reconstruction to the anterior cruciate ligament (a knee ligament) in the past.

The purpose of this study is to measure your thigh muscle strength and activation using 3 techniques including functional magnetic imaging. You are being asked to be in this study, because you have had a knee ligament injury.

The study involves 2 visits, each lasting about 1 hour. During the first visit, we will measure your thigh muscle strength and reflexes on your right and left legs. During the second visit, you will have a magnetic resonance image (MRI) of your thighs.

Study-related sessions are provided free of charge.
There is no other compensation for this study.
