Summary: Effects of ice and exercise on leg strength and function individuals with knee pain.
UVa Health System, Sports Medicine Program in the Department of Human Services seeks adults with knee pain for research study.
The purpose of the study is to determine the effects of ice and exercise on leg strength and function individuals with knee pain. The study involves testing of leg strength and experimental interventions such as ice and exercise. The study requires 1 visit that will last about 2 hours.
To qualify for the study you must meet the following criteria:
Are between 18-65 years old
Have knee pain and difficulty with Sitting a long time Squatting or kneeling Going up/down stairs
NO other spine or other lower body injury in the past 6 months NO lower body or spine surgery NO spine disease or disk herniation
The study requires 1 visit that will last about 2 hours
You will be compensated for your time upon completion of the entire study
