Summary: Relapsed or Refractory Multiple Myeloma - Adults

People with multiple myeloma (cancer of the plasma cells in bone marrow) are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by North Shore University Hospital.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are at least 18 years of age
  • Have been diagnosed with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma

You may not participate in this study if you:

  • Have had a dose of chemotherapy, biological, immunotherapy, investigational agent (therapeutic or diagnostic) no less than 28 days before receipt of study drug
  • Have been diagnosed with another malignancy unless disease free for more than 1 year
  • Have known active hepatitis A, B, or C, or are human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) positive
  • Have cardiac disease
  • Have incomplete recovery from any prior surgical procedures or had surgery within 4 weeks before study entry
  • Have an active infection
  • Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or intend to become pregnant during the study
  • Have participated in another research study within the last 30 days
