Summary: At Risk for Developing Diabetes?
A few common risk factors for diabetes include:
- High blood pressure
- Family member with diabetes
- Elevated cholesterol levels (LDL and triglycerides)
- Elevated blood sugar levels (pre-diabetes)
- Obesity and/or low levels of physical activity
Patient Inclusion Criteria: We are conducting a research study with medications for the treatment of high blood pressure that have been approved by the FDA. Eligible participants for this study must have high blood pressure and be at risk for diabetes. Additional requirements for participation include:
- Age 18-80
- Not pregnant or nursing
- Not a current smoker
- No recent use of medication for the treatment of diabetes
Patient Exclusion Criteria: Please call for more information.
Qualified participants will receive study-related medication and doctor visits at no charge.
