Trial Information
Summary: Healthy Mature Women Needed for Research Study on Aging
Researcher at the University of Kentucky are inviting you to participate in the "NIHA-Natural Immunity in Healthy Aging' research study. They will study whether a type of immune defender cell, natural killer lymphocytes, changes during aging in normal, healthy people. Changes in natural killer lymphocytes might explain why elderly people have high rates of infection and cancer.
- Healthy women volunteers, ages 75 and older
- The study will require a telephone call about health history and one or two morning visits of approximately two hours in duration at the General Clinical Research Center (GCRC), which will include a blood draw and questionnaire.
Women of all races and ethnic groups are welcome. African-American women are especially encouraged to apply. Monetary compensation will be provided. The research is being directed by Dr. Charles Lutz. Interested persons may contact Kim at (859)-323-5266 or at NIHA@LSV.UKY.EDU.
