You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have cancer that is no longer responding to standard therapy or for which no standard therapy exists. The purpose of this research study is to determine the highest possible dose of the investigational drug, ABT-888 that can be given with carboplatin and paclitaxel before unmanageable side effects are seen. The research study will also evaluate the effectiveness of this combination of drugs. Your treatment on this study is expected to last for as long as your tumor is not growing and you are not having any unmanageable side effects. After your treatment on this study is over, your medical condition will continue to be followed indefinitely.
