Summary: The Effect of Surgically Induced Weight Loss on Cardiovascular Abnormalities in Obese Subjects with and without Obstructive Sleep Apnea
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR A RESEARCH STUDY ON SLEEP APNEA, OBESITY, AND GASTRIC BYPASS
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR A RESEARCH STUDY ON SLEEP APNEA, OBESITY, AND GASTRIC BYPASS
You must be between 18 and 70 years old, obese (extremely overweight) and about to have weight loss surgery, on no medications for sleep, not taking Viagra, Cialis or Levitra, no known heart problems, or history of restless legs syndrome, insomnia, or shift work, not a diabetic, not pregnant, not a smoker and willing to be studied during sleep (3 overnight stays required). You will receive up to $900 for participation in the study, which requires three separate visits lasting approximately one night and half a day, the first prior to surgery, then roughly 4-6 and roughly 12-18 months after surgery.
