Trial Information
Summary: PHII-80 PHL-051 NCI #7502: A Phase II Study of VEGF-Trap in Recurrent or Metastatic Gynecologic Soft-Tissue Sarcomas
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have sarcoma (a cancer of smooth muscle) from the uterus or ovary (also called a gynecologic sarcoma) that has spread and cannot be cured by surgery. The purpose of this study is to learn more about an investigational agent called VEGF-Trap with respect to its ability to cause tumor shrinkage or to stop the growth of gynecological sarcomas, as well as to learn more about side effects of this drug. Your treatment on this study is expected to last for as long as your cancer is not growing and you are not having any unmanageable side effects. After your treatment on this study is over, your medical condition will be followed indefinitely.
