Trial Information
Summary: PHII-65 NCI #7103: A Phase II Study of AZD2171 (NSC #732208)in Patients with Malignant Mesothelioma
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have advanced malignant mesothelioma, a cancer of the lining around the lungs, abdomen, or testicles. The purpose of this study is to see what type of tumor response (staying the same or shrinking), side effects, and overall length of life subjects treated with AZD2171 have. Researchers will also take blood specimens for laboratory studies of biomarkers (substances in the blood associated with disease that can show whether a treatment is working) and pharmacogenomics (genetic differences associated with how well treatment works and what kind of side effects it causes). Your participation in this study is expected to last for as long as your disease does not worsen and you are not experiencing any unmanageable side effects. Your condition will be followed indefinitely.
