Summary: Pediatric Cold Sores Study CFAM810B2301

Novartis is conducting this research study is to obtain more information about the safety and correct dose of an investigational drug for infants with cold sores (herpes simplex infection) who are between one month and one year old. The investigational drug is FDA-approved to treat herpes simplex in adults but not approved for children or infants.

Parents and infants will be asked to come to the study center 3 times over a 4-5 day period.
