Summary: Long-haul Truck Drivers Research Study
Researchers at the University of Kentucky Chandler
Medical Center College of Nursing are conducting a
study to explore how long-haul truck drivers develop
self-advocacy and empowerment to refuse to drive when
they feel too tired to safely do so.
You may be eligible to participate if you:
- have a minimum of fi ve years experience as a long-haul
truck driver;
- are able to speak, read, and write English; and
- have had experience with refusing to accept work
assignments and drive when you felt too tired to
safely do so.
