Summary: Pain after shingles

This is a 16 week trial on an investigational medication to treat patients that still have pain after shingles. Patients will receive study medication, blood tests, physical exams and compensation for time and travel. The study will require 11 office visits and 3 phone visits as well as keeping a daily pain diary.

Patient Inclusion Criteria:

  • Patients must be 18 years of age or older and have pain for at least three months after shingles have healed.

Patient Exclusion Criteria:

  • Patients will not be able to participate if they have Hepatitis, uncontrolled blood pressure or a seizure disorder.
