Summary: If you are a man age 50 or older, or a woman age 60 or older, you may be able to participate in the ARRIVE research study.

ARRIVE is an international program to study people at risk for a heart attack or stroke.

It can help you and your doctor determine if you may be eligible to take part in this research study.

If you are a man age (50 or older), or a woman (age 60 or older) with no history of heart disease or stroke, you may be eligible to participate in the ARRIVE research study, especially if you:

  • Smoked cigarettes in the last 12 months
Or have (or think you have) any of the following:
  • High blood pressure
  • A cholesterol problem - like high "bad" cholesterol and/or low "good" cholesterol.
  • A blood relative who had a heart attack before age of 60

Talk with your study doctor to see if you qualify as a potential candidate for the ARRIVE study.
